Ode to Cezanne

Once this painting was finished it reminded me of a Cezanne landscape. This painting is part of a short series of tree formation focused on the negative space in tree lined landscapes.

My paintings are about how sound translates directly into colour, texture, composition and tone with titles referring to music terminology such as note types, music keys, classical music terms such as Andante, Allegro, or Adagio. One painting may explore the classical tempo/movement within a musical score eg: Adagio/Allegro/Vivace.
